History: |
1942 May. Joined 1st Flotilla for Channel convoy protection duties. July. Escorted assault craft for the Dieppe raid as part of operation Jubilee. October. Struck a mine and repaired at Portsmouth. November. Provided convoy escort for the TORCH landings. 1943 Channel convoy protection. 1944 May. Collided with trawler and sent to Portsmouth for repairs. June. Provided Anti Aircraft, Anti Submarine and gunfire support off JUNO beach. October. Transferred to 21st Flotilla for duties in North Sea. 1945 March. Refitted for modifications prior to joining the 18th Flotilla departing for Trimcomalee. May. Passage to Mediterranean for work up with Mediterranean Fleet. July. Passage to Trincomalee. September. Provided support for landings on Malayan coast (operation ZIPPER) September. Attended Japanese surrender ceremony. Paid off into reserve at Chatham. 1946 February. Recommissioned. 1952 Paid off. 1956 Broken up.Scrapped at Blythe on 14 September 1956. |
