History:  
  HMS Ambuscade made 37.66 knots on trials and was more economical than the other prototype HMS Amazon.

Sold to be broken up for scrap on 23 November 1946. 

Events  
  7 Dec, 1940 The Dutch merchant Farmsum is torpedoed and sunk in the North Atlantic in position 52º11'N, 22º56'W. HMS Ambuscade later picks up 15 survivors.
