History: | 18 Dec, 1942 ORP Krakowiak picks up 55 survivors from the British merchant Bretwalda that was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-563 about 330 nautical miles west-north-west of Cape Finisterre in position 44º35'N, 16º28'W. |
