Lost: 8 Nov, 1942  (Lt. Cdr. A. F. C. Layard, R. N.)  foundered in position (32.18.02N 023.11.30E)  Off Algiers Western Mediterranean off Algiers, hit by French shore batteries on the7th November 1942. With destroyer 'Malcolm' landing troops at Algiers during Operation 'Torch', the Allied invasion of French North Africa (Campaign) Vichy-French shore batteries.  9 Ratings killed and  sank while under tow to Gibraltar, from HMS Zetland the next day.

The British cruisers HMS Newcastle and HMS Emerald, with the British destroyers HMS Broke and HMS Wanderer of the 17th DF and the Polish destroyers Garland and Burza act as a screen to the British battleship HMS Revenge during a bombardment of Cherbourg.

20 Oct, 1940
The British destroyers HMS Kashmir, HMS Jaguar, HMS Broke and the Polish destroyer Blyskawica conducted a patrol in the English Channel. They detected four German destroyers. The enemy ships turned back to their base. The allied pursuit was unsuccessful.
