History | Struck by 4 Japanese kamikaze aircraft and sunk north-west of Okinawa in position 27º10'N, 127º58'E, 155 of her crew were killed and 87 wounded in all there are 172 survivors which include the Commanding Officer Commander James Richard Hansen who were rescued by the LCS-21. |
